- Porter (born in Sale, Greater Manchester, England in October 1959, now resident in central Texas) is a writer of high adventure fiction, pop culture reference books, and comics. His high adventure short stories and novellas feature classic characters such as Sherlock Holmes and Allan Quatermain, as well as his own new-pulp characters Lotus Ronin, and The Raven. His pop-culture non-fiction work has featured properties such as Batman, Star Trek, The Beatles, and James Bond. He has also written comics for Tokyopop, BOOM Studios, Marvel, Disney, and Kid Domino as well as several custom corporate and educational comics.
