He is a Professor at Molecular Biology and Genetics Unit; and an Adjunct Professor and Chair at Neuroscience Unit of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research.
Anuranjan Anand is an elected fellow of all the three Indian science academies: Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Sciences, India, and Indian Academy of Sciences.
He received an Outstanding Research Investigator Award of the Department of Atomic Energy in the year 2006, and National Bioscience Award of the Department of Biotechnology in 2008.
