About Cécile Dreesmann
- Cécile Dreesmann (13 April 1920 in Amsterdam – 23 April 1994 in Soest) was a Dutch textile artist.
- She was a member of the wealthy Dutch Dreesmann family, connected to the Vroom & Dreesmann concern.She studied at the Royal School of Needlework in London and worked her life on embroidery to develop her own specific style.
- She preferred to use silk and often included precious stones or minerals in her work. She exhibited in The Netherlands, but also in the United States.
- She published several books, including one about samplers, and wrote articles in Embroidery magazine.
