- Trembath was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace.
- He was born at Willesden, Middlesex. Trembath made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire against Oxford University in 1982.

- He played two further first-class matches for the county against Middlesex and Essex, both in 1984.
