About Helen Tippett
- Helen Margaret Tippett (23 March 1933 – 11 February 2004) was the first woman professor of architecture in Australasia.
- Tippet's career in academia began in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, in 1969 teaching 'Design and Practice and Management', and moved to New Zealand where she was Dean of Architecture at Victoria University from 1980 to 1983, and later moved into professional practice, co-founding The Architects Collaborative.She was elected the first woman president of the New Zealand Institute of Architects in 1989.
