- Best known for his oil paintings, he also worked with watercolor, pastels, graphite, charcoal, sculpture, and photography.Cabot was born in Boston, Massachusetts, his parents Hugh Cabot II, Professor of Sociology, Harvard University, and Louise Melenson-Cabot.
