About Jimly Asshiddiqie
- Jimly Asshiddiqie (born 17 April 1956) is an Indonesian academic who has served as member of the Indonesian Presidential Advisory Council since 25 January 2010.
- Jimly Asshiddiqie is a welknown and productive academician from the University of Indonesia.
- He got his law degree from the University of Indonesia (UI) in 1982, and then completed his master degree in 1987, and finished his doctorate degree in the same university, University of Indonesia in 1990.
- In 1998, Jimly Asshiddiqie became Professor of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia.
- Until now, he has published scientific books more than 60 titles and hundreds of papers, widely spread in various media and delivered in various forums.
- Many of new ideas, he shows in the books, as in "Green Constitution", "Economic Constitution", "Social Constitution", "Court of Ethics and Constitutional Ethics", "The Constitution of Cultures and Constitutional Cultures", and others. Now, he is the Vice Chairman of National Council of Titles and Honors.
- Before, he served as the chairman of the Advisory Council of the National Commission of Human Rights for 8 years (2009-2017); and Chairman of the Honorary Council of Electoral Officers (DKPP) since June 2012-2017 from the agency formerly known as the Council of the honor which he also led the Commission in 2009 and 2010, this DKPP he introduced as the first institution in the history of court of ethics, not only in Indonesia but also in the world.
