- Anderson made his major league debut in 1999, appearing in 13 games for the Pirates.

- In 2001, Anderson had career highs in wins (9), games started (34), innings pitched (206.1) and strikeouts (89).

- He was let go after the season and signed with the Cincinnati Reds.
