During his club career he played for: 1963 Associação Atlética Portuguesa 1963-1971 Santos FC 1971-1972 Paris Saint-Germain 1973 SaadHe played only two matches for PSG before leaving the club.Joel was a defender of the Brazil national football team when they won the 1970 FIFA World Cup.
