- Luis Eduardo Bermúdez Acosta (Carmen de Bolívar, January 25, 1912 - Bogotá, April 23, 1994) better known as Lucho Bermúdez, was a Colombian musician, composer, arranger, director and performer, is considered one of the most important performers and composers of popular Colombian music of the 20th century.The importance of his musical work lies in having adapted traditional Colombian rhythms such as cumbia and porro, in modern rhythms that would become symbols of national identity from the 1930s.
