- Manuel Elogio Carpio Hernández (March 1, 1791 – February 11, 1860), known as Manuel Carpio, was a Mexican poet. Manuel Carpio was a relevant writer, theologian, philosopher and doctor of the nineteenth century, and former member of the Mexican Romanticism.
- Born in the city of Cosamaloapan de Carpio in the State of Veracruz, he died in Mexico City. His poetry has been published twice in a collection entitled under the name of Poesías del Sr.
