- Born in South Africa, he moved to England with his family as a child. As a player, he was a striker from 1984 until 2004, notably in the Premier League for Chelsea and the Football League for Luton Town, Aldershot, Queens Park Rangers, Oxford United, Stoke City, Ipswich Town and Bournemouth before finishing his career in Non-league with Dagenham & Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
