- Matviy Nomys (Ukrainian: ?????? ?????, real name: Matviy Terentiyovych Symonov (?????´? ????´???????? ??´?????, Russian: ?????? ??????????? ???????), 17 November 1823, Zarih, Orzhytsia Raion, Poltava Oblast – 26 December 1900, Lubny) was a Ukrainian ethnographer, folklorist, writer and teacher.
