- Seager was a left-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace.
- He was born at Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia (today Harare, Zimbabwe). Seager made his debut in English county cricket for Berkshire in the 1969 Minor Counties Championship against Dorset.
