About Miguel Portas
- Miguel de Sacadura Cabral Portas (1 May 1958 – 24 April 2012) was a Portuguese politician and a Member of the European Parliament for the Left Bloc, part of the European United Left–Nordic Green Left group.
- He was a member of the Committee on Culture and Education of the European Parliament and a member of the Delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries. Miguel Portas was the older brother of the former Foreign Affairs Minister and former leader of the right-wing CDS–PP, Paulo Portas, and a great-nephew of Artur de Sacadura Cabral.
