- She is best known for playing Alice in the 1970s sitcom Soap – one of the first characters in television history as a single mother, Lucille LaRusso in The Karate Kid, The Karate Kid Part III, and Cobra Kai.
- Heller also had a starring role as Carol in the 1979 made-for-TV movie, Can You Hear the Laughter? The Story of Freddie Prinze.
