About Rik Janssen
- Rik Arend Janssen (born 30 December 1957 in Arnhem) is a Dutch politician and former businessman.
- As a member of the Socialist Party (Socialistische Partij) he was a temporary MP from 11 January till 14 April 2011, replacing Sadet Karabulut, who was on maternity leave.
- He focused on matters of security, judiciary, immigration and political asylum.
- Since 27 April 2011 he has been a member of the States Deputed of the province of South Holland. Janssen owned a horeca enterprise in Scheveningen.
- Because of an accident he got disabled and he had to abandon his business.
- To rehabilitate he studied law at the Open University in the Netherlands and obtained his LLM with Latin honors.
