- Vaithilingam Sornalingam (September 1949 – 26 September 2001; Tamil: ?????????????? ????????????, alternative spellings include Vythilingam Sornalingam; often referred to by his nom de guerre Colonel Shankar) was founder of the air wing and marine division of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and a relative of Velupillai Prabhakaran.
