  • He played football and basketball at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida.
  • In 1995, he was named the Class 5A Player of the Year in football and was also runner-up for Florida's Mr.

  • In basketball, Toliver helped Mainland win the Class 6A state championship in 1995 and 1996.
