- He designed many World War II fighter aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force.
- His most important work was the "Army Type 3 Fighter" (?????, Sanshiki sentoki), aka Kawasaki Ki-61 "Hien" (??, Hi-en) ("flying swallow") or "Tony".
