About Danis Zaripov
- Danis Zinnurovich Zaripov (Russian: ????? ?????????? ???????, Tatar: ????? ?????? ??? ???????; born 26 March 1981) is a Russian professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for Ak Bars Kazan of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
- Zaripov was also a member of the Russia men's national ice hockey team for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Zaripov won the Gagarin Cup five times (2009, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018).
- In 2017, Zaripov was banned from the KHL and IIHF through 2019 for testing positive for pseudoephedrine, an ingredient commonly found in allergy medicine and nasal decongestants.
- He has expressed interest in playing in the National Hockey League, which does not ban the substance.He has a son Arthur with his wife, Tatiana, with whom he has been in a relationship since the year 2000.
