  • Valeriu Matei (born 31 March 1959 in Cazangic) is a Moldovan-Romanian writer and politician.

He publishes his volume Ziliada in 2008 and the anthology The Elegies of the prodigal son in 2010. Valeriu Matei has published numerous articles of journalism, essays about literature and has translated from French poetry, Russian poetry and Spanish poetry.
